5 Act of Kindness

Hi There, My name is Muhammad Awais and I’m a student of Amal Academy Fellow Ship program batch 160.

“Human kindness has never weakened the stamina or softened the fiber of a free people”.

The philosophy behind Acts of Kindness, which is selfless concern for the welfare of others. A traditional virtue and a core aspect of many religions, altruism is basically the opposite of selfishness.

Is your Friend, colleague being too grumpy lately? Find out what is bothering them, and if they still don’t give in, crack a few jokes to turn that angry scowl into a huge smile. Laughter can instantly lighten up the mood and you know how to have your pal in stitches.

2. Donate Used Books to a Library

Do you have some books collecting dust on a shelf? Why not pack them up and take them to the local library? Local libraries can often use the books in their current circulation or sell them during a “Book Sale” to raise money for the library.

3. Be Kind To Your Server

Make a little effort to make eye contact with the person serving you. Smile. Ask how they are doing. They are often dealing with many things ‘behind the scenes’ both personally and in their job that the customer never knows about. Be compassionate if your food doesn’t come out as quickly as you’d like.

4. Plant A Tree

“Make a difference in your environment and life!”

There are so many advantages to having more trees in your world! Most of you may know that trees improve air quality by producing oxygen. But what you might not know is they moderate the effects of sun and wind, and they clean the air by trapping dust, pollen and other pollutants. Do it in your yard to add some shade or maybe even increase your property value.

5. Share Your Study Guide

“Make studying more enjoyable for a friend or acquaintance or start a study group”.

Studying together makes it easier for everyone involved. Use it as an excuse to get to know someone you don’t know that well. You could create a Google Doc for everyone to add their own notes to a master file.
