Finding Grace

What a dilemma I face,

When your mouth claims mine,

To bloom or to swoon, what is my choice?

Or give it all up and just be thine?

This moment we live, time after time.

The stars know our pace, so with us they race.

We spontaneously combust, so with us they explode into fiery, silver dust.

Everything is as sharp as a blade of tungsten steel.

Everything is as blurry as a vintage sepia reel.

You find and string me into a precious pearl necklace,

Was I left scattered by oysters under a deep blue sea bed?

“You deserve all of it. It was a long time coming”, you said.

“Everything comes full circle. Let us love with no rules or regrets”, I said.
